Nordic Seminar is a conference on sign language interpreting organised every two years. This year the conference welcomes the SLI community in Turku, Finland on May 15–17, 2020.

Nordic  Seminar 2020 is cancelled due to coronavirus outbreak

The organising committee of Nordic Seminar 2020 is cancelling this year's seminar in Turku, Finland. The Finnish authorities have advised that public events should be cancelled until the end of May.

The conference fee will be refunded to those who have already paid it. However any other expenses such as travel or accommodation expenses will not be reimbursed.

The organising committee will contact everyone who has registered to the conference via email.

Nordic Seminar 2020 welcomes sign language interpreters, students, teachers and researchers of the field to meet and share information, point of views and experiences.

The registration for the conference is now open until March 31.

Conference hotels

The conference hotels are all centrally located.

The City of Turku offers a good choice of hotels and other accommodation.  However, it is advisable to book accommodation in Turku at your earliest convenience. The number of hotel rooms available is very limited due to a refurbishment of the largest hotel in the city.
